| Welding Machines |
All Weldclad welding systems are designed to meet a customer’s
specific requirements. We do not carry a catalogue of welding
machines, but instead prefer to provide you with a solution
that solves problems particular to you – almost a bespoke
service.
More than 30 years experience through direct involvement with
the steel industry has furnished us with a sound understanding
of the operating conditions and requirements of a welding
shop. As such our welding systems have been designed to be
very robust, extremely reliable and operate continuously at
100% duty cycle.
The Weldclad, water-cooled welding torch has been designed
to take to operate in either a single or twin-wire setup,
and is capable of carrying up to 1000A. The torch is also
fitted with specialist long life contact-tips, which consistently
ensure a sound contact between the wire and the welding torch.
The Weldclad oscillation system enables high deposition rates
to be achieved, these can be up to three times higher than
standard submerged arc or open arc welding systems. The WeldClad
oscillator has been designed
to allow variable bead widths – giving flexibility to your
welding procedure – and to give a smooth linear motion – ensuring
clean and uniform bead edges. And, of course the oscillator
can be isolated when standard stringer bead welding is required.
The Weldclad carriage, which supports the complete welding
head, is equipped with an accurate and variable stepping system,
which enables fast and precise positioning (< ± 1mm) of
the welding arc during welding operations.
A number of powered & manual slides fitted to the welding
head allow the torch to be easily moved in all three planes.
This ensures that a range of roll dimensions (if required
up to ?1000mm) can be welded.
Overall the Weldclad welding systems are designed to be simple
to operate. For example, a single operator can control two
welding-heads working simultaneously in the same welding machine.
